She died whilst living
Making salt dough with the kids,
cocooned in contentment,
an untimely phone-call
halts the laughter.
Words drew me into her vortex of pain,
I fell into the arms of the comfort-sofa,
heart thumping,
trembling rush of disbelief.
Dream-state dissipates,
Leviathan-reality breaches
the glassy surface of unreality
and I,
eat cookie-dough.
cocooned in contentment,
an untimely phone-call
halts the laughter.
Words drew me into her vortex of pain,
I fell into the arms of the comfort-sofa,
heart thumping,
trembling rush of disbelief.
Dream-state dissipates,
Leviathan-reality breaches
the glassy surface of unreality
and I,
eat cookie-dough.

Very nice imagery.
BTW, thanks for the link. I'll return the favor.
You do that so WELL C... that was pretty powerful mate.
And powerfully attached to something real too I guess?!
Scary what a few lines can let out eh?!
Cheers
Mad: Thank you, you are welcome, and thank you!
B: Yep this came out after a recent, very real and unexpected death.
Death sucks is what I say. I am tired of friends and loved ones dying. The pain engulfs.
I agree MT.
